Grab a broom and give curling a try at Jasper Place Curling Club. Pick a lunch spot from over 3,500 eating establishments. Spend the afternoon at the Royal Alberta Museum, one of Canada’s most popular museums. Then later take in the fast-paced action of an Edmonton Oilers NHL hockey game.
Shop at the 800-store West Edmonton Mall, the world’s largest shopping and entertainment centre. Hungry? Choose from 100 restaurants and kiosks to satisfy your appetite. Bring your suit and ride the surf at the world’s largest indoor wave pool. Afterwards catch a flick at one of the 21 movie theaters.
Head over to Strathcona Wilderness Centre and Elk Island National Park and go skating, hiking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and wilderness watching. Later learn about the area’s fur trading past at Fort Edmonton Park. Enjoy some lunch, and then cap things of with a horse-drawn sleigh ride for two.
Don’t miss the bronco-busting action of the Canadian Finals Rodeo. Escape on a two-day ice-fishing or dog sledding trip. Venture North to Grande Prairie for a spectacular view of the Northern Lights. Or journey through wide open spaces and past majestic mountains aboard the Snow Train to Jasper.
